Welcome to my webpage!  I am the library media specialist at Russellville Middle School. I received my B.S. in Elementary Education from The University of North Alabama and my masters in Educational Media from The University of South Alabama.  I have 18 years of teaching experience.

I loved my time in the classroom and watching students grow and learn, especially when the light bulb came on and they finally understood a concept!  However, I am passionate about the impact that discovering the love of reading can have on students.  A love of reading can develop into a love of learning, which will create life-long learners.  My goal in the media center at RMS is to help our students become life-long readers and learners!!!

My husband, Coach Patrick Odom, and I have been happily married for 19 years.  We have three active and imaginative children.  Parker is in seventh grade at RMS and loves reading and playing sports.  Collins is in fourth grade at RES and loves playing with her sister Callie, which is in third grade at RES.
